Waymark is a travel checklist app that works entirely on your device. We (the developer) operate no servers, require no account or sign-in, and have no way to see anything you put into the app. This policy explains where your data lives and what the app does — and doesn’t do — with it.
Everything you create — trips, checklists, items, notes, photos, members, reminders — is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, the app additionally syncs this data to your private iCloud database using Apple’s CloudKit framework, so it stays up to date across your own devices.
You can attach photos to checklist items using the camera or your photo library — only when you choose to. Photos are stored with the rest of your data (on device, and in your private iCloud if sync is on). The “extract text” feature processes photos entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision framework; images are never uploaded anywhere for processing.
Reminders use local notifications scheduled on your device. Notification permission is optional and used for nothing else. Waymark never requests your location.
The one-time “Waymark Pro” unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchases can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple ID.
Content leaves the app only when you explicitly share it (for example, a read-only checklist snapshot or an exported PDF via the system share sheet). You choose what to share and who receives it.
Waymark contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party code that receives your data. We collect no usage statistics, device identifiers, or diagnostics.
Waymark does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or sell — under GDPR, CCPA, or any similar regulation, the developer processes no personal data.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
