DueMate Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
The short version: DueMate does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Everything you create stays on your device (and, if you turn on iCloud, in your own private iCloud account). There are no analytics, no ads, no trackers, and no third‑party SDKs. We never ask for your location.
Who we are
DueMate (别忘了) is an app for tracking things with due dates — bills, renewals, documents, subscriptions, and more. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. In this policy, “we” refers to the developer of DueMate.
Data we collect
None. DueMate has no account system and no servers of its own. The items, categories, notes, prices, and images you add are stored on your device. We do not receive, see, or store any of it.
On‑device storage
Your data is saved locally using Apple’s on‑device storage. Deleting the app removes that data from the device.
iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud for DueMate (a system setting controlled by you in the iOS Settings app), your data syncs through your own private iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit. It travels between your devices via Apple’s infrastructure and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We never receive it and store nothing on our own servers. Turning iCloud off keeps everything local to the device.
The Vault & encryption
Items you place in the Vault are encrypted on your device with AES‑256‑GCM. The encryption key is derived from a passcode you choose and never leaves your device in a usable form. Because of this, we cannot recover Vault contents or your passcode — not even in principle. If iCloud is on, Vault contents sync only in their already‑encrypted form.
Permissions we may request
- Notifications — to remind you before something is due. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
- Microphone & Speech Recognition — optional, only if you use voice input to dictate an item’s name. Speech is transcribed on‑device; no audio is sent to any server.
- Photos — only the image you choose to attach to an item is stored with that item. DueMate uses the system photo picker and does not read your photo library.
You can grant or revoke any of these in the iOS Settings app at any time.
No tracking, analytics, or ads
DueMate contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking technologies, and no third‑party SDKs. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across apps or websites.
No location
DueMate never requests or uses your location.
Purchases
The optional one‑time “Pro” upgrade is processed by Apple through the App Store. Payments are handled entirely by Apple under its terms; we do not receive your payment details.
Children’s privacy
DueMate is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
